The largest and heaviest of this series, glazed with sediment that tested to have come from amphorae that carried wine. Interior shiny glaze and matte green at bottom were assembled from refined materials. Sea-glass thumb-well.

Out of Earth, volumes of gaseous silica-rich goo made pumice that fell back to the seabed, was collected, brought to me and melted again. Applied thinly on porcelain it reveals all surface marks. This one has granular pumice texturing the inside--not smooth like most of the glaze surface -- click multiple times to see it and also to read words on the back. Direct sun on the exterior shines through the clay wall -- amazing me how dense stone can transmit light. Narrow band under whitish glaze is the K-T Band layer under which is the Earth crust slurry from Kane Fracture Zone. Chatter pattern happened when trimming at the leather-hard stage of drying.

Mid-Atlantic Ridge and Galapagod dredge are both volcanic in origin, although I have no chemical analysis to compare, they help me contemplate the forces at work within Earth's deeper layers and how they relate to each other.
