 This sample has been aged by visual inspection of foraminifera. The bamboo prints are from tubular end grain on the rice paddle I use to plane out finger marks, as a finishing move on the wet clay.
Celadon glaze had some watery surface, which influenced the dip in the glaze of the rim - it highlights the bamboo prints.
