Click to enlargeBlack Sea on Porcelain RIGHT

3" tall

Two are shown here, specify left or right. Delicate NOT fragile, both of these have some translucency and are glazed with celadon inside and black Sea outside. The fibers in the mud burned out leaving mostly a salty sheen as residue. The one on the left was in a more oxidising kiln atmosphere and is more golden. The one on the right was in a more reducing atmosphere and is more grayish blue-green, even though both were glazed with the same iron-based celadon glaze.
