7" x 1.5" Mud Patch is a thirty square mile area south of Martha's Vineyard that has some fine sand in it. I applied it to leather-hard clay and briskly scraped off stripes with a wooden stick on the rims. Central areas are unglazed except for a pile of eel grass that melted leaving some ash glaze and some salt blush (orangey). Center is sea glass.

Materials used are written into the Mud Patch sediment on back -- pale but legible.
