Back area of brown is from a place where a seismometer was lost and three ships in the area searched the seafloor for it -- one was a physicist who knew of my work and when the tool came up he kept the scrapings. It's from Hydrate Ridge, off the coast of Oregon. | 14.5" wide x 4" high Good magic happened on this one . . . I occasionally try being looser with the sections of different sediments but it never worked well, until this one. Click for larger image to see better. From North Atlantic, Antarctica, Dead Sea, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, Pacific, and Black Sea. There are two holes in the foot that can enable the piece to hang on a wall. The orangey areas between sediments is from a rutile slip.
