Provenance for these materials comes with this piece; coordinates are known. The iridium layer from the Cretacious Tertiary Boundary is the speckled band at the shoulder and on the lid. Under that a wash of Earth crust slurry is applied to a chatter pattern--intentionally reminiscent of Earth's wobbling and layering and constant shifting. Under that is a thicker layer of the same earth crust slurry--it comes up from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge when maga speads the plates there. In the kiln the rock powder melts into it's fluid form hence the word "remagmized."
Interior glaze and shiny area under the neck are glazes assembled from refined materials.
